History of the Unique Assemblage 
This anniversary cuvée is a nod to the history of the Darroze Armagnacs.
First of all, because its blend is original and relates to different key years in the history of the family business. 
1974: 50-year-old Armagnacs, with the complex aromas associated with long ageing, give the cuvée its tannic structure and notes of dried fruit and spices. 
1982 and 1985 were two hot years, and the armagnacs produced in those years give this cuvée great volume and fullness.
The 1994 Armagnacs mark a turning point for Darroze. Less toasted barrels are used to preserve the fruit.
Finally, the 2002 and 2011 Armagnacs, young eaux de vie add fruit and freshness to the harmony of the aromas.
Secondly, because its name evokes the two flagship ranges: the «Collection Unique» of vintage armagnacs, which constitutes the very DNA of Armagnacs Darroze, and the know-how developed over many years in the «Grands Assemblages» range.
Baco and Ugni Blanc grapes are used in this blend, in almost identical proportions (45%), with Folle Blanche making up the remainder. 

Tasting note 
Beautiful golden colour with mahogany highlights.
The nose is very expressive, offering delicate aromas of candied fruit (apricot, orange zest), fine spices (vanilla, cinnamon, licorice), dried fruit (fig, almond) and lightly toasted bread.
Full-bodied tannins on the palate. This eau de vie combines the ardour of a young Armagnac and the wisdom of a 50-year-old brandy. Lots of spice, leather and candied orange. An armagnac of exquisite complexity and endless length.
