Historically, Armagnac was a pharmaceutical used brandy. Armagnac has been consumed for recreational purposes since the 16th century, its consumption becomes the most important during the 19th century.
In 1883, Monsieur Jean Cavé created his vineyard in Lannepax, a small bastide located in the heart of the appellation controlled area.
For more than 100 years of tradition, The Cavé Armagnacs result from harmonious blends of eau-de-vie from the best production areas of Armagnac and Bas-Armagnac. Distilled and selected with the greatest care, these eaux-de-vie, are aged in local oak barrels in our cellars until reaching the ideal maturity of consumption.
